Emergency Substitute:
$100.00/full day
$50.00/half day

Substitute:
$110.00/full day
$55.00/half day

Long Term (21st day) and Retired Teacher:
$120.00/full day
$60.00/half day

Human Resources

The city of Coolidge covers only 3.25 square miles with the CUSD covering an area of 250 square miles. The district consists of Coolidge High School (9-12), San Tan Foothills High School (9-12), Heartland Ranch School (K-5), Hohokam School (6-8), Mountain Vista (6-8), San Tan Heights (K-5), and West School (K-5). There are over 4,749 pupils enrolled in the district.

Our full academic program of regular and special education in grades K-12 is augmented by programs in Career and Technical Education and Alternative High School Education. In addition, the community is further served through a series of both after school and evening classes, which offer a variety of courses in both educational and other enrichment activities. The community is supportive of the district's interscholastic programs and intramural activities. As a result, the school system continues to be a major provider of employment in the area.

Administrative & Certified Application Instructions

Applicants must attach the following information with their online applicaion:

  • Certificate: Submit a copy of your valid AZ Department of Education certificate. If your certificate is pending, indicate pending in the date issued column, and list what certificates you have made application for (i.e., Elementary K-8, Secondary, etc.).
  • Transcripts: Include a complete set of college transcripts. Unofficial copies are sufficient until hired; at time of employment an official set will be required.
  • Placement File/ Employment References: A placement file or three current employment letters of recommendation.
  • References: Provide current and complete phone numbers.
  • Employment History: Complete job history for the past 10 years. If you have gaps in your employment history, indicate reasons for gap. Be sure to provide complete and current phone numbers.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card: Attach a copy of your valid fingerprint clearance card.

While there is a lot of information that we request, it does assist us in making the most prudent decision on whom to interview for our open positions.

  • Education: If the job you are applying for requires a high school diploma, AA Degree or 60 credit hours of higher education, you must provide a copy of your HS diploma or GED, transcripts verifying hours, or AA degree, at time of application.

  • Letters of Recommendation: You must include three letters of recommendation when you submit your application.
