Career & Technical Education (CTE) is an education pathway that provides students with the academic, technical, and real-world knowledge, skills, and experience they need to be prepared for a variety of career options. CTE gives students training and skills in many different types of careers in high-growth industries such as science and technology, healthcare, and business management. CTE programs are personalized, hands-on, and let students explore different career fields. CTE is part of the middle school and high school experience and prepares students for the full range of post-secondary opportunities, including college and careers.

AgriScience
Program Description
The AgriScience program is designed to prepare students for over 300 career pathways by providing them an overview of the fields of agricultural science, animal science, plant science, and soil science; animal husbandry, soil conservation; and agriculture operations such as farming, ranching, and agriculture business, and natural resources.
The Agriscience program is delivered as a coherent sequence of courses designed to offer students knowledge and skills that meet the needs of the workforce. The knowledge and skills students develop in AgriScience are experienced through exciting "hands-on" activities, projects, and problems solving tasks. Students will investigate, experiment, and learn about documenting a project, solving problems, and communicating their solutions to their peers and members of the professional community. Students can specifically connect AgriScience lessons with the Supervised Agricultural Experiences and FFA components that are important for the development of an informed agricultural education student.
The AgriScience instructional program prepares students for entry-level employment, further training, and/or post-secondary education for these and other occupations: Agribusiness Systems, Animal Systems, Biotechnology Systems, Environmental Service Systems, Food Products, and Processing Systems, Natural Resources Systems, Plant Systems, Power, Structural and Technical Systems, and Agriculture Education.

Culinary Arts
Program Description
The Culinary Arts program prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills required for food production and service occupations in commercial food service establishments. Students completing this program will possess the technical knowledge and skills required for planning, selecting, storing, purchasing, preparing, and serving quality food products. Nutritive values, safety and sanitation procedures, use of commercial equipment, serving techniques, and management of food establishments will also be studied. Throughout the Culinary Arts instructional program, students will develop advanced critical thinking, applied academic, career development, life and employability skills, business, economic, and leadership skills required for culinary arts occupations.
The Culinary Arts Career and Technical Education program is delivered as a coherent sequence of courses designed to offer students knowledge and skills that meet the needs of the workplace. The Professional Skills developed by business and industry leaders across Arizona are integrated throughout the program. Culinary Arts utilizes a delivery system made up of four integral parts: formal/technical instruction, experiential learning, supervised occupational experience, and leadership, social, civic, and career skills through participation in the state-recognized Career and Technical Student Organization, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

MCJROTC
Program Description
Academics
Marine Corps Junior ROTC Leadership Education develops good citizenship, self-confidence, and self-discipline. Leadership Education classes introduce cadets to the elements of Leadership, Military Customs, Drill and Ceremonies, Uniform Inspections, Physical Fitness Training, Marksmanship, and Marine Corps History. Cadets are required to participate in civic service, wear the Marine Corps Uniform on designated days and participate in Physical Training once a week. MCJROTC Cadets conduct community service as a part of their MCJROTC education while contributing to their own development as citizens of this democratic society. Cadets have volunteered their time to assist food banks, remove litter in the community, visit the elderly and the sick, and in a multitude of other capacities.
Physical Fitness
Physical fitness is a hallmark of the Marine Corps Junior ROTC. One aim of Junior ROTC is to be fit, disciplined, resilient, and able to adapt to uncertainty and to the unknown. Physical fitness is a key element in improving the performance of every Cadet and contributes directly to their readiness for the future. The ultimate goal of Marine Corps Junior ROTC physical fitness is to optimize mental and physical performance and make all cadets more resilient and more capable in their future pursuits. The Junior ROTC units also form Physical Fitness Teams and compete at the local, regional and national levels. The competition at these events is conducted in full fellowship with other cadets.
Color Guard
A Marine Corps JROTC unit’s Color Guard is often a very active representative of the unit at public events. Whether it’s presenting the American Flag at a high school basketball or football games, National Honor Society events, or school board meetings, the MCJROTC Color Guard stands ready to serve its host school. In the community, MCJROTC Color Guards perform at parades, ceremonies, and sporting events. Several Color Guard units have performed at professional sporting events, including Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Football League (NFL), the National Hockey League (NHL), the National Basketball Association (NBA), and Major League Soccer (MLS).
Close-Order Drill
Marine Corps Junior ROTC Cadets across the nation dedicate countless hours to the close-order drill. It is written into the MCJROTC curriculum as a means of instilling discipline and esprit de corps and continues to be one of the finest methods for developing the confidence and leadership abilities of Cadets. Units compete at local, state, regional, and national Drill Team competitions throughout the year. While fostering a friendly and entertaining environment, these competitions provide MCJROTC Cadets an opportunity to showcase their hours of dedication and tremendous marching skills. Marine Corps JROTC units continue to enjoy success at the annual National High School Drill Team Championships in Daytona Beach, FL
Marksmanship
Marksmanship is an integral part of the MCJROTC curriculum. With an emphasis on safety, the MCJROTC Marksmanship curriculum allows cadets to develop pride and a sense of accomplishment as they become more proficient with their marksmanship skills. Cadets will shoot the Daisy 853CM, an air rifle specifically designed exclusively for MCJROTC. Cadets will qualify and compete using the Three-Position Air Rifle Shooting standards. Three-Position Air Rifle Shooting is the most popular and fastest-growing form of shooting sports competition for youth of high school age. Two different Three-Position Air Rifle events are available. Precision Air Rifle is modeled after Olympic-style shooting. Sporter Air Rifle is designed for new competitors.

Sports Medicine
Program Description
The Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation program introduces students to the roles of various disciplines within sports medicine and rehabilitation sciences as well as other allied health professions. Students will be introduced to the analysis of human movement based on anatomical and mechanical principles. Emphasis is placed on the anatomy and physiology of the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems and their interaction in human movement and athletic performance. They will also learn signs and symptoms of injuries, illnesses, and disorders commonly seen in the physically active population. Students will develop skills in injury prevention, injury and illness assessment, and using appropriate terminology and medical documentation to record injury and illness.
The Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation program is designed and delivered as a coherent sequence of school-based and work-based supervised learning. The Professional Skills developed by business and industry leaders across Arizona are integrated throughout the program. The Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation students develop leadership, social, civic, and career skills through participation in the Career and Technical Student Organization HOSA (Future Health Professionals).
The Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation instructional program prepares students for entry-level employment, further training, and/or post-secondary education for these and other occupations: Personal Trainer, Athletic Trainer Aide, Physical Therapy Aide, Patient Transport Assistant, and Caregiver

Early Childhood
Program Description
The Early Childhood Education program is designed to prepare students for employment in early childhood settings. The Early Childhood Education program includes instruction in child growth and development, child health, nutrition, safety, planning, and supervision of developmentally appropriate practices and learning activities. Child guidance, family relationships, parenting, and applicable legal and administrative requirements are also addressed. Preparation for the development and management of effective early childhood programs and facilities is included.
The Early Childhood Education program is delivered as a coherent sequence of courses designed to offer students knowledge and skills that meet the need of the workplace. The Professional Skills developed by business and industry leaders across Arizona are integrated throughout the program. Students also develop leadership, social, civic, and career skills through their participation in the state-recognized Career and Technical Student Organization Family, Community, and Career Leaders of America, or Educators Rising.
The Early Childhood Education instructional program prepares students for entry-level employment, further training, and/or post-secondary education for these and other occupations: Preschool Teacher, Day Care Worker, Paraprofessional, Instructional Assistant, After School Program Assistant, and Kindergarten Teacher

Program Description
The Business Management instructional program prepares students to plan, organize, direct, and control the functions and processes of a firm or organization. Students who successfully complete the Business Management program’s coherent sequence of instruction will develop an in-depth understanding of the business and financial management practices needed for large and small enterprises. The Business Management program includes instruction in management theory, project management, human resources management, and behavior, Business Management, and other quantitative methods, purchasing and logistics, organization and production, marketing, and business decision-making. Throughout the Business Management instructional program, students learn and practice valuable real-world skills using industry-standard office productivity software to manage business functions.
The Business Management Career and Technical Education program is delivered as a coherent sequence of courses designed to offer students knowledge and skills that meet the needs of the workplace. The Professional Skills developed by business and industry leaders across Arizona are integrated throughout the program. Business Management students develop leadership, social, civic, and career skills through participation in the state-recognized Career and Technical Student Organization, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).

Graphic Design
Program Description
The Graphic Design instructional program prepares students to use technical expertise, creativity, and esthetic principles to design and create visual concepts that meet specific commercial or promotional needs, as well as inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. Students who successfully complete the Graphic Design program’s coherent sequence of instruction will develop an in-depth understanding of the operation and maintenance of specialized computer hardware and design-related technology tools; the principles and elements of design; digital imaging; typographical concepts and techniques; page layout and design; and the role of the graphic designer. Graphic Design students will explore the history and societal and economic impact of the graphic design industry and will examine legal and ethical considerations and business best practices unique to graphic design and related industries. Throughout the Graphic Design instructional program, students learn and practice valuable real-world skills using industry-standard graphic design software to create professional-grade design projects.
The Graphic Design Career and Technical Education program is delivered as a coherent sequence of courses designed to offer students knowledge and skills that meet the needs of the workplace.
