Facility Use

If you are interested in renting out any of the CUSD facilities - review the following information for quick details before reaching out to the Director of Business Services for any questions.
- Outside organizations or individuals must first be approved by the Governing Board.
- Application requests for a contract must be initiated at least two (2) weeks, but not more than one (1) year prior to the date(s) requested.
- A certificate of insurance from the individual or organization requesting the use of facilities will be required.
Use Rates will include all facilities but:
- School District Libraries - prohibited by non-school organizations, not available for rent
- West Elementary Fields - no fee charge, will still require facility request and certificate of insurance
- All listed rates are by the hour with a two (2) hour minimum

Performing Arts Center (PAC)

CUSD has a rental package that is offered to interested parties in the use of the Performing Arts Center (PAC). The package will include the following services for a $500.00 minimum rental fee for up to five (5) hours:
- Assistance from PAC Director
- Custodial services
- Utility fees
- Microphones
- Tables & chairs
- Raisers
- Spotlight
- all will be based on availability
There are additional fees for:
- Each additional hour — $100.00
- Use of the Greenroom — $50.00/per day
- Cost of Labor ($ per hour) for:
- Lightboard operator — $30.00
- Sound engineer — $30.00
- Stagehand — $15.00
- Spotlight operator — $15.00
- House manager — $30.00
- Video camera operator — $30.00
Any equipment needs not listed above, please contact the Director of Performing Arts Center. All services and rentals must be agreed upon in writing seventy-two (72) hours before rental. Any additional changes after that time will be charged a fifty-dollar ($50) surcharge in addition to the rental fees.
User Groups

Class I: Schools
This category of user is exempt from facility rental fees but is subject to all personnel and other out-of-pocket costs incurred by the District. This class includes:
- Organizations directly associated with the District and conducting activities for the District school-age children
- Examples: staff and student groups or clubs, school teams, site councils, PTA/PTA, booster clubs, etc.;

- Youth organizations (Boys/Girls Clubs, YMCA, Scouts, Campfire, Little League, Pop Warner, Soccer, etc.) Rotary, Lions Clubs, etc.
Requirements for Class I are:
- State tax identification number other than a social security number;
- A copy of Articles of Incorporation indicating a nonprofit organization in "good standing";
- Units or elected officials of federal, state, or local government, or local civic groups when conducting community or official business within the District. This includes the City of Coolidge and Pinal County for which reciprocal agreements have been executed; and
- Groups of District departments conducting staff development, in-service, or other job-related training classes primarily for District personnel, and at the request of a District administrator.

Class II: Non-Profit
This category is for non-school sponsored, nonprofit service organizations whose academic or recreational activities do or do not involve the District school-age children. This category of user is also subject to all personnel and other out-of-pocket costs incurred by the District. Equipment rental fees apply to this category of user. Included in this class are:
- Churches and religious groups;
- Homeowners Associations; and
- National or state educational organizations using District classrooms for instructional purposes.

Class III: Activities for Profit
This category of user is subject to facility rental fees as well as all personnel and other out-of-pocket costs incurred by the District. This class includes:
- Nonprofit groups who do not qualify under Class I or Class II (organizations whose academic or recreational activities involve District school-age children); and
- All commercial, for-profit individuals and organizations, regardless of the purpose of their use of Note: Any activity of a for-profit organization for the purpose of donating profits or proceeds to the District or a public charity, does not change the rental fee from the Class III schedule.
- Nonprofit groups who do not qualify under Class I or Class II (organizations whose academic or recreational activities involve District school-age children); and
